In the process of training program “Multicomponent nanostructured coatings. Nanofilms”, the following instruments and approaches will be employed:

Examination forms include: tests, tests with mark, and exams.

Comments

Implementation of the Term Projects 1-4 is an important part of the Master’s degree program. Students will get practical skills to study processes, phenomena, and materials; learn how to design and develop experimental setup and understand main principles of equipment involved into experiments; learn to plan and conduct analytic, modeling and experimental investigations; critically evaluate data and draw conclusions.

Student scientific research work is an integral part of the Master’s degree program. It is aimed at the development of cultural and professional competences and improvement in accordance with the requirements of the present Federal State Educational Standards of Higher Professional Education and University’s main curriculum. Here are the following types and stages of implementation and monitoring of student scientific research work:

  • planning of scientific research work (SRW), including familiarization with the subject of the scientific research and the collection, processing, and analysis of information on the scientific research topic:
  • writing of a report on the chosen topic;
  • conducting of scientific research work, technical development, or design
  • amending of the scientific research work plan
  • writing of a report on performed scientific research work
  • public defence of performed work (by the decision of the Department).

Student scientific research work includes the explanation of topics, discussions, and intermediary research results within the framework of the scientific research seminars. The University holds a discussion on the research results, including the involvement of employers and leading researchers, to assess the knowledge level, skills, and competences acquired by the students. It is also necessary to assess the competences related to professional worldview and a certain level of culture.

The Final Government Attestation includes the defense of the final qualifying work and the passing of a state examination chosen by the University Academic Council.

In accordance with the Master’s curriculum, final qualifying work should be done as a Master’s thesis during the internship and research work period. It represents an independent and logically complete final qualifying work related to solving the problems of the type(s) of activity to which the graduate student prepares himself/herself (and could include scientific research, scientific pedagogical, design, experimental design, technological and/or performing activities).

When completing the final qualifying work, students must display their abilities, advanced knowledge basis, skills, cultural and professional competence, and be able to make independent decisions on a contemporary level on the objectives of their professional activity, to professionally state specific information, and to scientifically argue and defend their point of view.
