Admission examination for PhD program consists of two parts: written test and interview.

For the interview you need to hold motivation letter and research proposal in Russian.

You are also encouraged to bring recommendation letter from a potential research supervisor if you obtained one. This document is expected to contain written consent of the research supervisor to accept the applicant for research work as well as characteristics of the applicant.

Competition score is calculated based on the examination results for the discipline (0-100 points) and individual achievements (0-50 points). The discipline examination is assessed in two parts, written test (0-50 points) and interview (0-50).

How to find research supervisor

Step 1. Choose a topic for your future dissertation research

Topic can be changed in the course of your dissertation work. Initially the topic can be formulated based on the materials that you already have, such as a graduation work, journal articles and publications.

Step 2. Find a potential research supervisor, academic or research center that conducts research activities in the field of your interest.

You can find the list of available research supervisors here (228.5 KB) and learn more about the research centers in the laboratories section. The information about scientific fields and problems that are examined at NUST MISIS check the information on the pages of Colleges (https://en.misis.ru/university/colleges/).

Step 3. Contact your potential research supervisor, the head of the academic of research center.

You need to write an email or call your potential supervisor or the head of academic or research center. Describe your scientific interests.
