Reincarnation of Plastic: Recycling of Household Waste at Home and a Printer that Prints Details for Itself to be Presented at Maker Faire Moscow 2018

On September 8th and 9th, 2018, Maker Faire Moscow 2018, the largest international festival where the latest technologies and traditional crafts meet, will be held in Gorky Park through the support of the Garage Museum. The organizer, the NUST MISIS FabLab, will present a series of hand-assembled machines for recycling and re-using plastic, a nettle 3D printing, and a unique 3D printer called Mothra that can print details for itself.

For the First Time, NUST MISIS is Included in the ARWU-2018 Ranking

NUST MISIS has been included in the list of 12 Russian universities present on the Academic Ranking of World Universities ARWU-2018. In 2018, NUST MISIS has also been included in the TOP-100 of the ARWU Global Ranking of Academic Subjects in two categories: Metallurgical Engineering and Mining & Mineral Engineering.

NUST MISIS and MGIMO Start Training Miners-Internationals

On July 29th, 2018, the first group of students was accepted into the unique Master`s degree program “Strategic Management of International Companies in the Field of Mineral Resources”. The program, developed and implemented by NUST MISIS and MGIMO, is a part of the Interuniversity Educational Center’s project Training Managers for the Russian Mining Industry. The Center was created in 2016 through the NUST MISIS College of Mining, and is overseen by Professor Georgy L. Krasnyansky, the Chairman of the Board of Directors at “Karakan-Invest” and a member of the NUST MISIS Mining Advisory Council.
