NUST MISIS has again validated its position in the Times Higher Education World University Rankings by entering the 601+ group among universities worldwide. The University received its highest scores in the “International environment” and “Industry income” indicators.
On September 20th, 2018, NUST MISIS hosted a meeting with Parliamentary representatives from the Republic of South Africa’s Committee on Higher Education and Training. NUST MISIS is intriguing to South Africans as a training center to work in conditions of the modern digital economy.

HUNTING “DARK” MATTER: NUST MISIS and CERN Open Enrollment for a Unique Joint Program in Engineering-Physics
NUST MISIS and the European Organization for Nuclear Research (CERN), in partnership with international educational centers such as INFN, “Federico II” University of Naples, the University of Zurich, and the Imperial College of London have announced the start of the fall session of a joint educational program. The course’s main goal is to train young specialists to develop advanced technologies and materials in the search for new physical effects in CERN experiments.
NUST MISIS and Copter Express have launched a course to train developers of unmanned aerial systems. The program’s first enrollment will take place in 2019 and will likely lead to a special master’s degree program in the coming years.
NUST MISIS, the Yuri Gagarin State Technical University of Saratov, and Saratov State University, with the support of RUSNANO, are opening enrollment for an additional professional development educational program centered around the creation of high-performance nanostructured electrode materials for alkaline and lithium-ion batteries.
From August 19th to 31st, 2018, NUST MISIS held the international summer school “Materials and Technologies” for international students interested in materials science, and inorganic & physical chemistry. The program included courses on materials and technologies for solar energy, biomaterials, and IT-technologies in materials science, as well as the study of materials and technologies for digital design and 3D printing.
