You will learn how to write scientific articles to be published in international highly-cited journals.
Requirements for the participants:
- English level not lower than B1+/В2 (CEFR).
- Fill in the form to participate in the competion.

Program “Peculiarities of Academic Writing in English” is designed to improve the skills of scientific and pedagogical staff of the University, post-graduate students and master’s students that study in the framework of international programs of NUST MISIS.
Skills improvement is aimed at the development of competencies in the field of academic and scientific written communication.
The program is designed to improve the quality of written texts, which are most frequently found in the academic environment, including scientific articles of NUST MISIS scientific and pedagogical staff, which are planned to be published in international journals.
The program is designed to acquaint students with the specifics of academic scientific discourse. It will allow to master the language skills necessary for writing academic texts, including scientific articles.
During the classes, students will get acquainted with the peculiarities of the academic text, typical for English-medium academic environment, the differences between the academic text and the non-academic text.
Special attention will be paid to the development of skills of writing academic and scientific texts in English, such as motivation letter, presentation of research project, abstract of scientific article, critical review of literature, scientific article.
Also, students will get acquainted with the main Internet resources on academic English and learn how to use them in independent work with scientific texts.
