Industrial design and technology for re-industrialization of the economy
Metal matrix composite (MMC) materials offer a wide range of opportunities for the development of advanced materials by combining the individual properties characteristic of light non-ferrous metal alloys and ceramics. In the presentation of the work some technological aspects of the production of MMS selected system using different approaches (kneading, mechanical alloying) will be considered. The effect of thermomechanical processing — extrusion and rolling on the mechanical properties of Al-3.0 Cu-1.2 Mg / SiCp with a high proportion of reinforcing additives will be shown. The report will also present the behavior of this material in high-temperature tensile tests.
