Lecture “Quantum phase transition of Extended Dicke model”

Abstract: the Dicke Hamiltonian is successfully used for description of dynamics of Josephson junction array in resonant cavity under applied current or gate voltage. In this work we derive dynamical equations for the semiclassical expectation values of electric field, dipole moment etc associated with the canonical Dicke Hamiltonian. Nonlinear solution is derived for the case when time dependence is split into fast rotation and slow evolution. Next, we investigate the same observables in extended Dicke model with frustrating term. Nature of the solutions and properties are described.
