We are pleased to welcome you to the first international conference “Scanning probe microscopy for biological systems”, which will be held from 27 to 28 November at NUST MISIS with the support of the Russian science Foundation.
The conference is dedicated to all types of scanning probe microscopy (SPM) applicable for resolving biological and biomedical problems, as well as for innovative solutions for healthcare and pharmaceuticals. The school-conference will be a forum for scientists from academic and non-academic research institutions around the world for discussing the latest findings and new ideas on the use of SPM and related techniques in the life sciences and in medicine, from cellular or molecular biology to clinical application.
The school-conference “Scanning probe microscopy for biological systems” is at the forefront of science and technology, seeks to identify and analyze important issues, recent advances and opportunities for new research topics, both through formal presentations and extensive informal discussions. The aim of this conference is to improve the communication network of SPM in the life sciences and expand international cooperation to strengthen the innovative potential of SPM research.
The active participation of young scientists is of particular importance for the organizers of the conference, as scientists starting their careers will be able to learn from leading scientists in their field and be inspired by them.
The conference program is devoted to nanomedical research, cell mechanics and emphasizes the possibility of integrating SPM with other optical and analytical methods.
Main topics of the school-conference:
- High resolution imaging of live cells bacteria and viruses;
- SPM for Neuroscience;
- Nanosensors;
- SPM for Cardiology;
- Cellular mechanics;
- Nanostructures for biomedicine;
- FRET microscopy and electrophysiology in living cells;
- Combined scanning probe & fluorescence microscope.
Speakers of the conference will be well-known scientists in relevant fields of research from Imperial College London, MSU and other leading universities.
The event will include practical classes on scanning ion-conducting microscopy.
Young scientists, postgraduates and students are invited to take part in the conference.
Working languages — Russian and English.
Participation in the conference is free.
