On December 6, 2021, NUST MISIS will host a Russian-German seminar “Digital Materials” (hereinafter referred to as the Event) as part of the implementation of the “The Russian-German Roadmap for cooperation in the field of education, science, research and innovation between the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation and the Federal Ministry of Education and Scientific Research of the Federal Republic of Germany”.
The Event relates to a new direction “Digital Materials”, presented on June 25, 2020 at a meeting of the Joint Russian-German Commission for Scientific and Technical Cooperation, as part of an agreement to promote mutually beneficial cooperation in new promising areas, including in the field of artificial intelligence.
The purpose of the Event: to discuss the current interaction of countries in the field of creating theoretical modeling methods and software development that provide modeling of a material with specified properties and its evolution in various operating conditions and to develop joint proposals for the development of cooperation in this area.
The Event description: the event will focus on the development of new generation theoretical tools using the apparatus of fundamental physics and the creation of unique materials with specified properties that are in demand in metallurgy, materials science, automotive, aerospace industry and in the ordinary economy. During the event, it is planned to discuss issues related to the design of materials, digital doubles, digital solutions in materials science and the creation of a conceptual framework for accelerated science-based development of materials based on qualitatively new opportunities that have emerged due to the development of computer technology, physics, chemistry, computer science, statistics, machine learning, data analysis and visualization.
