We invite researchers and scientists to participate in the XVII International Symposium on Self-Propagating High-Temperature Synthesis (SHS-2026), to be held from September 14 to 18, 2026, at China University of Mining and Technology.
The SHS International Symposium is one of the leading scientific events in the field of self-propagating high-temperature synthesis and materials science, held regularly for over 30 years. The platform brings together scientists, researchers, and industry representatives to discuss current achievements, technological challenges, and future development prospects.
The symposium will cover the following areas:
- theory and modeling of SHS processes;
- advanced synthesis methods (including mechanically activated and hybrid approaches);
- novel materials (high-entropy, functional, refractory, etc.);
- applied aspects (metallurgy, welding, surface engineering, and related fields).
Researchers from MISIS University serve on the symposium’s program and advisory committees.
