The College of Lifelong Learning was established in 2009. Russian technological enterprises have a growing need for well-trained employees in management and production technologies to keep pace with the modernizing Russian economy. This need for continuous development spurred the further need for unique educational services on innovative technologies in production, management, and education. This was why the College was established.The College of Lifelong Learning runs high-quality professional training for people with higher or secondary vocational education in regards to NUST MISIS’s basic educational programs. The College trains correspondent undergraduate and graduate students, and also runs refresher courses and professional retrainings. The College`s permanent long-term partners are the largest dynamically developing companies in Russia and the CIS, such as Severstal, Novolipetsk Steel, Nornickel, OMK, Rusal, Kazakhmys, Chelyabinsk Pipe Rolling Plant, and others. In addition to the mining & metallurgical complex, the College has long-standing partnerships with companies operating in the energy sector, electronics industry, machine engineering, automotive, and other high-tech industries.
