UNESCO-Al Fozan International Prize: the call for applications is open

The Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation announces the opening of a competition for the UNESCO-Al Fozan International Prize for the Promotion of Young Scientists in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM).

The UNESCO-Al Fozan International Prize aims to enhance research, education, and international collaboration in STEM fields to address global challenges aligned with the sustainable development goals. The Prize recognizes young scientists whose work contributes to global socio-economic progress and encourages greater interest in science, particularly among women and girls, to foster gender equality and promote scientific careers.

The Prize is a monetary award of $50,000 which is given biennially to five laureates. The award is funded by the Al Fozan Social Foundation of Saudi Arabia.

If interested, you have to fill out the application on the official Prize website by April 15, 2025, and also send the materials about the applicant to the International Cooperation Department of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation (including to the email piskarevade@minobrnauki.gov.ru) by March 28, 2025, for selection and to inform UNESCO about the Russian participants.
