We invite you to the exhibition “Go constructivism!”, which will be held at the Boiling Point — Commune House. This anniversary exhibition is dedicated to the history of birth and development of constructivism, which became the cradle of world design. The organizer of the exhibition is the cultural and educational foundation “Magic of Fashion” with the support of NUST MISIS and the Agency for Strategic Initiatives.
The venue of the exhibition was chosen not by chance. Commune House is a legendary monument of architecture of the constructivist era, built by the architect Ivan Nikolaev during the years
The large-scale project presents all facets of constructivism. The best posters, photos and printing from the archive of Rodchenko and Stepanova, projects of architects from the Shchusev State Museum of Architecture and the International Architectural Foundation named after Iakov Chernikhov. The exhibition includes many sketches by brilliant artists from the funds of the A.A. Bakhrushin State Central Theatre Museum, the Tsaritsyno Museum-Reserve, and the State Museum of V.V. Mayakovsky. All the exhibits demonstrate the history of the development of constructivism in various forms of art.
The Russian Union of Designers, seven museums, six foundations, four universities and academies, and 53 designers took part in this project. Volunteers of the “Magic of Fashion” foundation reconstructed more than 70 theatrical and household costumes.
