Invisible Needles: International Team of Scientists Develop a Method for Cloaking Nano-Sensors for Optics and Biomedicine

An international group of scientists from Politecnico di Torino (Italy) and NUST MISIS has developed a model of a new metamaterial, which will improve the accuracy of nano-sensors in optics and biomedicine by cloaking them from external radiation. The article reporting the results has been recently published in Scientific Reports, a high rank, prestigious interdisciplinary journal, edited by Nature Publishing House.

NUST MISIS Scientists Present Metamaterial for Solar Cells and Nanooptics

A research team from the NUST MISIS Laboratory of Superconducting Metamaterials led by Alexey Basharin, Senior Lecturer and Candidate of Technical Sciences, has developed a metamaterial-dielectric that has unique characteristics and is easy to manufacture. This ease of access will allow researchers to use it to create the latest optical devices. The research results were published in Laser&Photonics Reviews.

NUST MISIS Students Create the World`s First Compact Anechoic Chamber for the Metamaterials Study

A group of NUST MISIS students leading by Dr. Alexey Basharin, an Associate Researcher from the NUST MISIS Laboratory of Superconducting metamaterials, has created the first compact anechoic chamber for the study of metamaterials. This chamber is currently unique. It can not only carry out measurements with high precision, but also is significantly cheaper than the industrial counterparts.
