NUST MISIS has improved its positions in the QS Emerging Europe & Central Asia Ranking (EECA), rising five positions from 57th to 52nd. For the 5th year in a row, the University has shown positive dynamics by improving its ranking, which is up 20 points since 2014. According to the results of the new ranking, NUST MISIS is now in the top 16% of universities from the 42 countries participating in the ranking.

For the first time, NUST MISIS has entered the QS World University Rankings by Subject and is now featured in 4 of 46 subjects featured in this year`s edition: Engineering-Mineral & Mining, Materials Science, Physics & Astronomy, and Engineering-Mechanical, Aeronautical & Manufacturing. NUST MISIS has strengthened its academic ranking in the QS World University Rankings 2016, rising by 100 positions. In 2015 the university was in the 701+ group, but this year the university has moved up into the 601+ group.
NUST MISIS has made another leap, rising to the 87th position in QS BRICS-2016. Only 19 Russian universities are in the top-100, and only six managed to improve their 2015 position.
