Russian Students Win International VisionHack Hackathon

On September 13th, 2017, VisionHack, the first international hackathon on artificial intelligence and computer vision, concluded. This momentous event was organized by NUST MISIS and Cognitive Technologies under the support of State Corporation “Bank for Development and Foreign Economic Affairs (Vnesheconombank)” and the Skolkovo Foundation. The top three winners included two teams from Lomonosov Moscow State University, while the third hailed from MIPT. Two teams from NUST MISIS, one team from Skoltech, one from Kazan Federal University, and one from Innopolis were included in the competition’s top 10. The final slot in the top 10 went to the team from UPC (Spain).

29 Teams from 5 Countries Advance to VisionHack Finals

The list of participants for the first international hackathon on artificial intelligence and computer vision has been announced. 29 teams from NUST MISIS, Lomonosov Moscow State University, Innopolis, Skoltech, Saint Petersburg State University, MIPT, MIT, the University of Cambridge, and other world universities have passed through the pre-selection stage. On September 11th, 2017, the on-site competition will start, and the winner will have the chance to earn $22,000.

VisionHack —First International Hackathon on Computer Vision for Unmanned Vehicles

From September 11th- 13th in Moscow, NUST MISIS and Cognitive Technologies will hold the first university hackathon on artificial intelligence and computer vision with an available prize fund of more than $30,000. Teams from MIT (USA), the University of Cambridge (Great Britain), ASU (USA), the University of Science and Technology Beijing (P.R. China), UPC (Spain), and leading Russian universities have already announced their plans to participate in the hackathon.
