NUST MISIS and Vnesheconombank to Launch Center of Competencies for New Materials

NUST MISIS and Vnesheconombank (VEB) will launch a Center of Competencies for New Materials and Breakthrough Technologies with a primary focus on blockchain, convergent (NBICS), and quantum technologies. The accumulation of knowledge about innovative technologies, the development of platforms for use in government organizations, and the training and popularization of those fields will be the Center`s main goals. This is the world`s first center with a combination of such competencies, and the main consumer of its services will likely be Russian state-owned companies and authorities.

NUST MISIS Young Scientists Create Car-Friendly Miniature Coffee Machine

A team of engineers from Karfidov Lab, an engineering design laboratory created within NUST MISIS, has developed a prototype of a portable wireless coffee machine small enough to fit into a car’s cup holder. This battery-powered miniature device can both serve as a full-fledged coffee machine and a water cooler, and can be operated using a mobile app.

NUST MISIS Scientists Create New-Generation Energy System

A group of NUST MISIS scientists has developed a unique hybrid energy system which couples a wind turbine and a photovoltaic array and which can be used in remote areas, farms and eco cities, while also significantly reducing the cost of energy.

Virtual Polygon to be created on the basis of NUST MISIS

“Virtual Polygon”, the international project designed to create virtual resources capable of testing unmanned vehicle techniques, has been initiated on the foundation of NUST MISIS’s Robotics Center and under the auspices of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation.
