NUST MISIS and the University of Milano-Bicocca will Train Managers for Research Infrastructures

NUST MISIS and the University of Milano-Bicocca signed a cooperation agreement in the spheres of science and education. This will contribute to the implementation of the project CREMLINplus, aimed at developing cooperation between Russia and the EU in the field of research infrastructures.

In the framework of CREMLINplus project, since 2019 NUST MISIS and the University of Milano-Bicocca have been implementing a joint work package “Staff exchange and training for RI management”. Signing an agreement on direct cooperation will allow for closer interaction in the fields of culture, education and student exchanges. The main attention will be paid on “Materials Science”, “Entrepreneurship” and “Applied Economics” areas.

As noted by NUST MISIS Vice-Rector for Education Timothy O’Connor, NUST MISIS and the University of Milano-Bicocca are equally rapid in their development. According to world educational ratings, universities have achieved significant success in a short period of time. Both universities are located in the centers of big cities, famous for their deep cultural and historical roots. Both Moscow and Milan are advanced digital, “smart” cities, so it is important and necessary to develop cooperation between leading universities, such as NUST MISIS and the University of Milano-Bicocca".

The University of Milano-Bicocca was founded in 1998. Today it encompasses modern research laboratories, classrooms and recreations for students. Over 37 thousand students study at the University, more than 2.5 being international ones. The University is ranked 69th in THE list of the top-250 young universities (established less than 50 years ago). The University is especially famous for its international master’s programs in research infrastructure management and materials science.
