“Quality education and research is the key to our country`s great future. That is why scientific and educational projects in the field of mining, [which is] such a close industry to me, are of a primary importance for me. I am happy to support the ambitious plans for NUST MISIS’s development—one of the best technological universities in Russia. I consider my contribution to [the NUST MISIS] Endowment Fund as an investment in enhancing the global competitiveness of Russian education and science”, emphasized Alisher Usmanov.

As a result of this contribution, the total amount of NUST MISIS’s Endowment Fund capital will increase to 230 million Rubles, which will allow it to enter the top-10 of Russian universities` endowments, and at the same time the “Art, Science and Sport” Charity Foundation will become one of the largest contributors in the history of national endowments.

“In 2018, NUST MISIS will be celebrating its 100 anniversary. The annual income will support talented students demonstrating success in the fields of science and education, as well as supporting NUST MISIS’s infrastructure projects”, said Alevtina Chernikova, Rector of NUST MISIS.
