The Department of Economics provides professional training through Bachelor’s, Master’s, and Doctoral degree programs. The Department traces its history back to 1931.
The Department’s faculty includes six Doctors of Sciences in Economics, twenty-one Candidates of Sciences in Economics, one Candidate of Sciences in Engineering, and one Candidate of Sciences in Pedagogy.
The educational process draws on practicing instructors from leading industrial companies, IT integrators, technology-focused investment and financial ecosystems (Sber, Alfa, Yandex), and consulting firms (Kept, B1, Technologies of Trust, and others).

The Department of Economics offers educational programs in the following fields: 38.03.01 “Economics” (Bachelor’s), 38.04.01 “Economics” (Master’s), and 5.2.3 “Regional and Sectoral Economics” (Doctoral).
Instruction is delivered through the University’s proprietary higher education standards, incorporating modern information technologies. The curriculum extensively features masterclasses and proprietary courses, employing professional training methodologies based on situational modeling using real-world enterprises as case studies.

As part of the College of Economics and Management, the Department participates in publishing the academic journal “Industrial Economics” (included in the Higher Attestation Commission List, K2 category), which features research results from faculty, doctoral students, and collaborative faculty-student research.
