Condensed Matter Physics

Developed in collaboration with the Institute of Solid State Physics of the Russian Academy of Sciences and the Scientific Research Institute of Railway Transport. From the first year, you’ll dive into scientific research and development, with internships at the Academy of Sciences and Roscosmos enterprises. It’s sure to be challenging, but the competencies you gain will make you a unique specialist!

Duration of the program: 4 years. Full-time education in Russian.

Sergey Nikolayevich Zhevnenko

Doctor of Sciences in Physics and Mathematics, Professor of the Department of Physical Chemistry

Scientific interests: processes on interfaces, phase transitions, measurements of the rate of diffusion creep of metal polycrystalline systems based on silver, copper and nickel, the influence of surface phase transitions on diffusion creep. The scientist creates equipment for direct high-temperature studies of the interaction of solid phases with melts, develops a scientific direction for studying capillary effects in a plasma environment, and develops methods for synthesizing MAX phases. There are more than 50 articles, the Hirsch index is 13.

Alexey Olegovich Rodin

Developed an algorithm for predicting the behavior of diffusing elements at grain boundaries of metal alloys. Modeling of the formation and growth of strengthening phases and prediction of the mechanical properties of steels based on the modeling results. Published 89 articles indexed by Scopus.
