From September 12-14th, 2016, NUST MISIS and the Rybakov Fund will host #EdCrunch, the 3rd incarnation of the international conference on new educational technologies. This year’s key topic is “Blended learning: traditions and future”. The forum will be held through the support of the Ministry of Education & Science.
Leading experts in the field of new educational technologies from 40 countries and 70 Russian regions will gather for #EdCrunch, one of Europe`s largest conferences, to discuss the opportunities and necessities of the implementation of online tools into traditional formats of education, with the overall aim of improving the quality of the educational process.
Blended learning, which utilizes the Internet more and more, is one of the main trends in education. The Internet, through its continual global expansion, has become an integral part of modern life. Some specialists consider blended learning as an intermediate stage between traditional and completely e-learning education.

#EdCrunch-2016 — consists of four main sectors devoted to all levels of education: preschool, elementary, secondary, and higher education, as well as supplementary vocational education. This year the conference will contain such topics as The School of the Future, University Transformation, Inclusive Education, Online Tutorials, Robotics in Education, and Educational HR-technologies.
The separate projects of #EdCrunch-2016 will be an all-Russian contest
The international exhibition of innovative educational projects EdTech Alley, the finale of the contest of innovations in education KIVO-2016, international educational IT-marathon EdHackout, and the finale of the MOOC contest #EdCrunch Award — 2016 will be held during the conference. The special program includes open activities from the representatives of leading international companies in the field of internet technologies. Pitch sessions, called an EdTechMentor Session, are also scheduled, and will have experienced investors and experts in the field of business participating.
The National University of Science and Technology MISIS and the Institute of Economic Development Acceleration “Rybakov Fund” are the organizers of the conference. And EdX, a free online courses platform, is the co-organizer.
