For the fourth time, Russia hosts the International Olympiad Open Doors: Russian Scholarship Project, an international competition for foreign applicants, co-organized by NUST MISIS. By participating in the Olympiad, students from all over the world can early enroll in a tuition-free Master’s program at the leading universities in Russia and the world. Starting this year, you can also apply for the postgraduate track (analogous to Ph.D.). Registration opens on September 15, 2020.
International Olympiad Open Doors: Russian Scholarship Project is supported by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of Russia and Rossotrudnichestvo. Foreign citizens and stateless persons, including compatriots living abroad, who have or are completing higher education at least a bachelor’s degree for a master’s track and at least a master’s or a specialist for a postgraduate track (analog of Ph.D.) in the year of the Olympiad, can participate in the Olympiad.
You can enroll in the Russian-language program (with the possibility of studying the Russian language for one year before studying at NUST MISIS), as well as in the English-language Master’s program and even before the start of accepting documents.
The Olympiad is held remotely in Russian and English at the three stages:
Qualifying stage: September 15 — December 10, 2020, held in the format of a portfolio competition.
The second stage: January 11 — 30, 2021, is carried out to identify and control of the independence of the tasks (proctoring).
The third stage (for applicants to the postgraduate track): March 1 — 19, 2021, online interviews with potential research supervisors in accordance with the schedule.
A feature of the 2020 Olympiad is the allocation of a postgraduate course track (analog of Ph.D.) and the appearance of three new profiles in the master’s program track: “Clinical medicine and public health”, “Education” (including pedagogical sciences) and “Earth sciences”.
Due to the possible consequences of the pandemic and restrictions on entry to Russia, the universities, which organize the Olympiad will provide the winners with the opportunity to start their studies in the first semester online.
According to the results of the Open Doors Olympiad 2019/2020, 371 people from 66 countries of the world have become winners. Three of them have chosen the NUST MISIS Master’s program for further education.
