NUST MISIS ranked among Russia’s top universities by Forbes

In the Forbes ranking “100 Best Universities in Russia — 2025”, NUST MISIS ranks 11th, climbing two positions and improving its scores across several criteria. The ranking evaluated 564 Russian universities based on 17 indicators.

The updated ranking reflects a comprehensive assessment of Russian universities in terms of their reputation and the effectiveness of their educational programs. The ranking methodology used official data from the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation, employer surveys, and publicly available information sources. Universities were given an overall score based on 17 indicators grouped into five metrics: quality of networking, employer reputation, international reputation, academic environment, and the Forbes factor (presence of alumni in Forbes rankings).

NUST MISIS improved its performance in the areas of networking quality, international recognition, and the Forbes factor.

In 2025, MISIS University will offer admissions to 21 programs at the bachelor’s, specialist, and basic higher education levels, as well as 100 master’s degree and specialized higher education programs. The application process begins on June 20. Olympiad winners receive admission advantages, including the possibility of enrolling without entrance exams. The university continually expands the list of individual achievements that provide applicants with additional points to their Unified State Exam (USE) scores. Currently, the list includes over 70 achievements, such as prize-winning placements in academic competitions, diplomas with honors, and other distinctions. Full admission details are available here.
