At the festive graduation event “WE ARE MISIS UNIVERSE”, around 3,500 graduates from the main campus and six branches of NUST MISIS received their diplomas with 25% graduating with honors. This milestone marked the culmination of their academic journey and the beginning of a new chapter in life.

Here, you received a high-quality education, immersed yourselves in a spirit of scientific exploration, unlocked your creative potential, and laid the foundation for future accomplishments. It is you who will drive groundbreaking discoveries, develop cutting-edge technologies, launch innovative startups, lead the companies of the future, and contribute to the development of our country. I wish you the courage to pursue your boldest ideas and conquer new heights. The doors of MISIS will always be open to you!”
As per tradition, time capsules were prepared: one with messages for the class of 2035, and the 2015 capsule was opened. This emotional moment was accompanied by heartfelt speeches from graduates, words of gratitude to their favorite professors, and reflections on the future they are set to build.
Deputy Minister Andrey Omelchuk noted: “The knowledge gained within the university’s walls is a solid foundation for a successful career and the realization of your boldest ambitions. NUST MISIS graduates are trained in a wide range of in-demand fields and consistently demonstrate strong competencies sought after in the job market. This enables them to successfully secure positions at the country’s leading companies. I’m confident each graduate has completed a challenging but fascinating journey here, mastered advanced knowledge, and found true friends. Ahead lie new horizons, new challenges, and, of course, new opportunities for personal and professional growth.”
MISIS students continue to excel in high-demand fields such as IT, business informatics, engineering, nanomaterials and nanoelectronics, electric power and electrical engineering, mining, metallurgy, and technological machinery. At the time of graduation, over 87% of students were already employed.
Chairman of the NUST MISIS Endowment Fund Board of Trustees, university alumnus and philanthropist Anatoly Sedykh shared: “At MISIS, I gained not only academic knowledge but also essential skills that shaped my path in business. I’m confident that the mentors of today’s graduates have also helped them define their paths and prepared them for professional challenges. To those who pursue science, I wish you inspiration and discovery. To those entering industry: the satisfaction of seeing tangible results of your work. To aspiring entrepreneurs: may you build successful companies that improve lives. And to those who choose to teach: may you find students as talented and passionate as today’s graduates, a quarter of whom earned their diplomas with honors.”
Throughout the day, graduates and guests enjoyed photo zones, reconnected with professors and friends, and participated in creative and interactive activities. The festival concluded with a grand celebration: a concert, vibrant performances by student groups, dancing, and the symbolic tossing of graduation caps into the sky, marking the beginning of a new chapter in each graduate’s life.
