Strengths
Sergey Prokoshkin is a researcher of fundamental R&D works in the area of phase transformations, special features and thermomechanical processing of shape memory alloys (federal target programs, ministerial target programs, assignments of the Ministry of Education and Science of Russia, scholarships of the Government of Moscow, INTAS scholarship, projects of the International Scientific and Technical Center and scholarships of the Russian Foundation for Basic Research). He is the head on the part of NUST MISiS under agreements for scientific cooperation between NUST MISiS and ETS (Montreal, Canada).

He is the leader of R&D projects: over 24 fundamental R&D projects in the area of phase transformations, special features and thermomechanical processing of shape memory alloys (federal target programs, ministerial target programs, assignments of the Ministry of Education and Science of Russia, scholarships of the Government of Moscow, INTAS scholarship, projects of the International Scientific and Technical Center and scholarships of the Russian Foundation for Basic Research). He is an academic advisor of 15 applied R&D works in the sphere of studying and using shape memory alloys. He is the head on the part of NUST R&D under agreements for scientific cooperation between NUST MISiS and ETS (Montreal, Canada).
