NUST MISIS Takes 191st Place in Materials Science

NUST MISIS has improved its position in the U.S. News Best Global Universities by Subject — Materials Science ranking, taking 191st place among the world’s 1,250 leading universities in Materials Science.

Compared to last year, NUST MISIS rose 29 spots in the Materials Science. The University is now ranked the 2 best among all Russian universities in the corresponding subject (Lomonosov Moscow State University is the top ranked Russian university). NUST MISIS is also 1 among the 12 university-participants of the Project present in the ranking.

NUST MISIS improved its position by 88 spots in the physics ranking; the University took 446th, which moved it into the TOP-100 Physics departments at European universities.

The U.S. News Best Global Universities Rankings are compiled by the U.S. News & World Report, and are mainly focused on universities’ academic research and global reputation. In order to be ranked among academic institutions, a university has to be either among the TOP-250 according to the results of the Clarivate Analytics global reputation survey or have at least 1,500 publications in the Web of Science Core Collection database between 2012-2016.
