With the help of the Russian government, NUST MISIS and Financial University will open a new interuniversity network graduate program, “Financial-Industrial Groups: Engineering Systems and Technologies; Analytics and Finances”. This is Russia`s first graduate program aimed at training engineers with expertise in economics and finances, as well as training financial experts with engineering and technological knowledge. Graduates will receive diplomas from both universities. HATCH and KPMG will be the program’s industrials partners.
The modern labor market has a very high demand for engineers able to not only conceptualize an engineering project but also to calculate its economic effectiveness, answering questions such as what sources of funding to use and how its launch would affect the financial stability of a company. Employers also need financial experts majoring in industrial fields and who have knowledge about technological processes and engineering systems.
According to Vadim Petrov, Vice-Rector of Educational Affairs at NUST MISIS: “Students of the interuniversity network graduate program ‘Financial-Industrial Groups: Engineering Systems and Technologies; Analytics and Finances’ will get a unique chance to master nearly two master`s degree programs and obtain a qualification of ‘Master’ in two fields of studies — engineering and economics”.
The resource potential of two leading Russian universities and industrial companies guarantees interesting subjects, their practical application, and internships, as well as providing high quality training for students.
“It is Russia`s first educational program which combines two different areas of training. It is an interesting experience of interaction for our universities. And students, undoubtedly, will become unique specialists and will be in-demand from Russia`s leading industrial companies”, said Ekaterina Kameneva, Vice-Rector for Graduate and Postgraduate Programs at Financial University.
