MISIS Media Creates Best TV Programs in Russia

On November 29th, 2016, during the Russian student mass-media competition “Crystal Arrow — 2016”, our university’s student media-center MISIS Media, led by Alexander Igrevsky, was announced the winner in “The Best TV Program” category. Galina Buryanova (“Steel” (Stal`) Newspaper) received second place for “The Best Editor” category.

Additionally, Nadezhda Stepannikova, a graduate of the NUST MISIS College of Environmentally Sound Technologies & Engineering, was awarded a special nomination prize for her article “The harder the training, the easier the work”. In that article Nadezhda describes her master’s studies experience at the Freiberg University of Mining and Technology.

2016 marks the 13th edition of “Crystal Arrow”, a competition for student publications and young journalists. This year, 4,793 creative works from 411 universities in Russia were submitted for the competition. The contest’s panel of judges was again led by Yasen Zassoursky, the President of the Faculty of Journalism at Lomonosov Moscow State University. The competition is held by the Council of Vice-Rectors on Raising Awareness of Educational Institutions of both Russian Higher Education, and the Moscow Student Center, which operate through the support of the Moscow Government and the Russian Ministry of Education & Science.

This is not the first time a NUST MISIS mass-media student has won an award at “Crystal Arrow”. In previous years our students took home victories in “The Best Journalistic Work”, “The Best Student Publication”, “The Best Editor”, “The Best Founder”, and “The Best TV Program” categories.
