On September 21st, 2018, NUST MISIS hosted the regional festival Honor Cup. The event was part of the All-Russian ICT competitions for the Huawei Honor Cup, which have been held since 2015 in order to increase motivation for self-education and the development of young specialists’ professional skills.
259 students and young professionals studying and working in the field of information and communication technologies took part in the festival. The guests had the chance to learn about Huawei and the professional development opportunities the company provides. Competitors also learned about Huawei’s training and certification in Russia.
The most well-trained participants were able to get on-site interviews with the Deputy Director of Huawei’s Department of Personnel Management, getting to discuss employment opportunities and internships.
HCNA (Huawei Certified Network Associate) testing, which attracted 29 participants, became an important part of the festival. 13 of the participants scored well enough to get relevant international certificates from Huawei.
The guests were also given an opportunity to learn more about the Honor Cup competitions and take part in a mobile quiz where they were able to show their knowledge and see if they knew enough to continue the fight into the second qualifying stage of the competition.
The festival ended with the award ceremony for participants who showed the best results.

All the participants received certificates and prizes from Huawei as well.
