The World University Rankings methodology is recognized as the most comprehensive global assessment of university performance. It evaluates institutions across 18 indicators grouped into five key areas: teaching, research environment, research quality, industry, and international outlook.
In the Teaching category, NUST MISIS climbed to 327th place globally and 11th place in Russia. The university also improved its position in Industry, moving up from 513th to 414th place worldwide and securing 5th place among Russian universities. The Research Environment maintained a high performance, with 519th place globally and 8th place in Russia. In terms of Research Quality and International Outlook, NUST MISIS entered the top 20 universities in Russia.
These results reflect both the university’s internal achievements and broader global academic trends. Contributing factors include an increase in revenue per academic staff member, growth in the number of awarded academic degrees, enhanced patent activity, and higher income from industrial partnerships.
