The Big Data Research Centre was founded in 2018. It conducts exploratory and applied research in data mining and decision support systems development. The Centre’s staff includes experts in data science, machine learning and natural language processing.
Activity
The Center’s work involves both research and development in the following areas:
- natural language processing
- exploratory search
- cross-language information retrieval
- multimodal topic modeling
- language modeling
- vector representations of entities (embeddings)
- question-answering
- decision support systems
The Centre also takes part in various methodological activities such as developing courses, organizing lectures, workshops and conferences.
