Interaction between NUST MISIS and the business community was one of the main topics of discussion amongst the internationally-varied group of journalists, representing 8 different countries, which visited NUST MISIS during the recent international press tour.
On hand for the press tour were heads & top managers of leading enterprises — as well as some of the key business partners of NUST MISIS: Georgy Krasnyansky, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the “Karakan-Invest” group of companies; Julia Mazanova, Social Policy and Corporate Communications Director of Metalloinvest; Petr Mishnev, Director of Technological Development and Quality at Severstal; and Alexander Nadtochiy, Deputy Technical Director of RUSAL.
They all participated in meetings with China Daily, Global Times, Indo-Asian News Service, Middle East News Agency, Opera Mundi and other mass media representatives.
Representatives of leading international and Russian corporations spoke about their successful cooperation with NUST MISIS in the fields of targeted specialist training, the development of educational programs, and the conduction of joint research works. During the discussion, which was extended by numerous questions and clarifications from both sides, the participants discussed the principles of modern models of university development and their groundbreaking implementation by NUST MUSIS. The integration of scientific, innovative, and educational activities while taking the specific needs of business partners into account has been difficult, but rewarding for the university thus far. Additionally, the further development of a creative environment that contributes to the more complete revelation of students` creative potential is necessary to meet the challenges of our time and to train specialists that are in-demand on the labor market.
During the two-day visit, journalists were presented with the results of NUST MISIS’s international collaborations with world-leading universities in the fields of educational programs and scientific research, and were given tours of the university`s leading research laboratories, the Center for Industrial Prototyping of High Complexity and the NUST MISIS FabLab.
