Alevtina Chernikova, Rector of NUST MISIS, presented the concept for the digital transformation of the mining and metallurgical industries of the CIS member states at the meeting of the Council of Heads of Government of the Commonwealth of Independent States held in Ashgabat. The concept was reviewed and officially adopted for implementation.
Undergraduate and graduate students from IMUST studying metallurgy, materials science, mechanical engineering, mining, automation, and applied statistics took part in an intensive educational and cultural program focused on modern technologies, Russian science, and intercultural communication. The delegation was headed by Sun Yanbai. For NUST MISIS, cooperation with IMUST is part of its strategic effort to expand partnerships with Chinese universities and strengthen collaboration in engineering education and applied science.
NUST MISIS and Anhui Institute of Information Technology (AIIT) have signed a memorandum of understanding aimed at developing cooperation in education and research. During the visit of the Chinese delegation, the parties discussed joint research projects, professional development programs for faculty members, as well as student training in the fields of artificial intelligence and digital technologies.
