NUST MISIS has entered the TOP-500 of the world`s best universities in the Round University Ranking (RUR). NUST MISIS has shown the best dynamic of growth among Russian institutions, allowing the university to enter the TOP-10 among Russian universities.
The international university ranking Round University Ranking (RUR) is developed by the Russian based company RUR Ranking Agency, and is the only regularly updated global university ranking that is of Russian origin. The RUR Rankings system measures the efficiency of universities by 20 individual indicators grouped into 4 areas: Teaching, Research, International Diversity, and Financial Sustainability.
In the Round University Ranking NUST MISIS ranks second among Russian universities in the Financial Sustainability area, trailing only Lomonosov Moscow State University, and placed 283rd overall in the world ranking (in 2015 — 499). In the Teaching area NUST MISIS has entered the TOP-300 in the world, jumping up to 292nd. In 2015 the university was ranked in 515th place.
According to the Ranking’s representatives, the positions of Russian universities are comparable with the positions they hold in one of the most authoritative rankings — Times Higher Education World University Rankings. This fact helps confirm the accuracy of the Russian global ranking’s composition.
The Round University Ranking 2016 measures 700 universities from 74 countries, including 23 Russian universities. The RUR is made up of data provided by Thomson Reuters.
