NUST MISIS has been included in the list of 12 Russian universities present on the Academic Ranking of World Universities ARWU-2018. In 2018, NUST MISIS has also been included in the TOP-100 of the ARWU Global Ranking of Academic Subjects in two categories: Metallurgical Engineering and Mining & Mineral Engineering.
The Academic Ranking of World Universities is compiled from six key indicators: alumni and staff of an institution winning Nobel Prizes and Field Medals, papers published in Nature and Science, papers indexed in the Science Citation Index-expanded and Social Science Citation Index, highly cited researchers, and the per capita academic performance of an institution.
This is the very first time that NUST MISIS is appearing on the ARWU Ranking, placing in the
