The council includes representatives of research and education institutions, development institutions, government bodies and major companies. NUST MISIS is nowone of three universities represented on the VEB Expert Council.
“The role of the Expert Council in the implementation of the VEB Strategy 2.0 continues to increase significantly. The members of the new expert council will become active participants in the formation of a quality portfolio of projects. Currently, VEB is developing sectoral plans for each priority. The Bank has 26 such sectoral priorities. By the end of the year, we will approve business plans for each sphere. The topic of digital economy and innovations will be the theme for the next meeting ofthe Expert Council in its new composition”, — said Sergey Gorkov, VEB Chairman.
In June, 2017, NUST MISIS and VEB signed an agreement on strategic cooperation through which they will launch a Center of Competencies for New Materials and Breakthrough Technologies with a primary focus on blockchain, convergent (NBICS), and quantum technologies. This is the world`s first center with a combination of such competencies, and the main consumer of its services will likely be Russian state-owned companies and authorities.
