MISIS University and the Institute of Nuclear Physics of the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Kazakhstan (INP) have signed a memorandum of cooperation in the field of science and education.
Vadim Petrov, Vice-Rector for Educational Affairs at NUST MISIS, and Nurzhan Saduev, Deputy Director General for Science at INP, signed the memorandum of cooperation. The document provides for collaboration aimed at implementing joint fundamental and applied research, development of technologies and engineering solutions, as well as educational projects. Under the memorandum, the parties will exchange relevant scientific and technical information, conduct joint research, facilitate the exchange of specialists, and collaborate in the field of academic mobility for young researchers and graduate students.
The Institute of Nuclear Physics was established on the basis of the Physical-Technical Institute of the Academy of Sciences of the Kazakh SSR in 1957. It is currently the only center in the republic for fundamental and applied research and personnel training for the nuclear industry, employing over 600 staff members. Over 85% of all radiopharmaceuticals in Kazakhstan are produced at the INP.
