A delegation from the University of Mpumalanga (South Africa) visited NUST MISIS to discuss prospects for cooperation in the fields of mining, metallurgy, materials science, and campus ecosystem development.
The colleagues got acquainted with the history, scientific directions, educational programs, and infrastructure. According to the guests, the unique experience of MISIS University in creating socially significant scientific and technical practices has great potential for development in African countries.
The scientific, educational, and engineering competencies of NUST MISIS are sought-after tools for establishing and developing partnership relations in the province of Mpumalanga. NUST MISIS African Student Union, which is actively involved in the social integration of foreign students into Russian society and provides support in training future engineering personnel for Africa, attracted special attention from the guests.
Upon their return, representatives of the University of Mpumalanga plan to share NUST MISIS’s best practices with local authorities in organizing international pan-African student activities.
