NUST MISIS takes part in the largest educational exhibition in Turkey

The University Preference Fair, an educational exhibition organized by Unitech, was held in Istanbul. More than 40,000 students and graduates from prestigious schools in Turkey attended the event to choose a university for their further studies. NUST MISIS presented advanced English-language programs in the fields of metallurgy, materials science, mining, physics, and humanities. The local applicants were interested in the preparatory courses and training in Russian language.

Applicants and their parents had the opportunity to talk with representatives from universities, receive detailed information about educational programs and choose institutions that met their needs. The University Preference Fair is held during the admission campaign in several Turkish cities, including Istanbul, Ankara, Izmir, Bursa, Antalya, Adana, and Diyarbakir.

Representatives of the university met with Turkish applicants personally, told them about the educational programs, admission requirements, scholarships, and benefits. They also met and had talks with the leaders of two major international education organizations from Turkey.

“Russia is a popular destination for Turkish citizens seeking education. The widespread use of the Russian language, the geographical proximity to the region, and the strong relations between our countries are all contributing factors. Additionally, the price-quality ratio of education in Russia is among the most attractive globally. NUST MISIS participated in an educational exhibition in Turkey for the first time and we see great potential for growth in the region. We plan to continue participating in these events regularly to ensure our university’s recognition and visibility”, said Dmitry Vasiliev, Director of International Affairs at NUST MISIS.

MISIS University has 27,000 students, with 19% being international students from 85 countries. The university currently offers 11 master’s programs in English. Those wishing to study in Russian can enroll in the preparatory department, where they can choose from five profiles: engineering, natural sciences, economics, biomedicine, or a basic Russian language course.

In order for foreign students at NUST MISIS to not only gain knowledge but also have an active student life, the university has established the International Friendship Club and the International Student Council. These associations aim to create a supportive environment for students from different countries to interact with each other and facilitate their adaptation to life as a student in a new country.
