NUST MISIS, one of Russia`s leading technological universities, and Sberbank, the leader in Russian banking, have signed a cooperation agreement for the implementation of joint research and innovation projects aimed at the development of new technologies in priority areas of cooperation.
The development and implementation of joint educational, research, and innovative projects in the field of unmanned vehicles, robotics & industrial robots, and industrial assistive technologies are among the cooperation areas outlined in the agreement. In addition to the joint implementation of technological hackathons, NUST MISIS and Sberbank will also work to create academic programs for advanced vocational education and specialist training appropriate for today’s digital economy.
“The rapid development of digital technologies opens up new opportunities for innovation in almost all spheres of activity, including the education system. Today, Sberbank Russia is the national leader in the field of cybersecurity, big data, the development of artificial intelligence systems, and the development of other modern information technologies. The conclusion of our cooperation agreement with the leader of Russia`s banking sector opens up new opportunities for NUST MISIS to participate in breakthrough projects which our University will be implementing together with Sberbank Russia”, said Alevtina Chernikova, Rector of NUST MISIS.
The bilateral agreement was signed by Alevtina Chernikova, Rector of NUST MISIS, and Stanislav Kuznetsov, Deputy Chairman of the Executive Board of Sberbank, at the Skolkovo International Robotics Forum, which was held at Skolkovo Technopark.
According to Stanislav Kuznetsov, the implementation of these joint programs will develop the direction of robotics and generate developments that make the world a better place.
