The International Open Doors Olympiad: Russian Scholarship Project for graduate students is supported by the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation and the Federal Agency for the Commonwealth of Independent States Affairs, Compatriots Living Abroad, and International Humanitarian Cooperation (Rossotrudichestvo).
The competition is open to foreign citizens and stateless persons, including compatriots living abroad, having a Bachelor’s degree or completing a Bachelor degree program in the year of the Olympiad for the Master’s track and having a Master’s or Specialist’s degree for the doctoral track (analogous to PhD) in the year of the Olympiad.
Education is completely free.

How to do it?
- Visit the website
- Choose “Participate”
- Fill in the application and portfolio as detailed as possible. Indicate NUST MISIS as the desired university. Describe all your achievements and be sure to write a motivation letter — your exit to the final stage depends on this.
- If you are invited to participate in the final stage — go through testing
- Become a student of a prestigious Master’s program at NUST MISIS BEFORE the start of the admission campaign!
The first round will be held online from September 15 to December 10, 2023. Participants should build their portfolio (fill in the necessary data and download the requested documents) in their accounts in accordance with the requirements for the portfolio structure described on the website of the Olympiad and pass the test.
The second round of the Olympiad is organised in a proctored form and is held from January 9 to January 18, 2024, according to the schedule, which will be published on the Olympiad website and in the personal accounts of the participants.
The third round of the Olympiad (for the PhD track) is held from February 21 to March 13, 2024 through online interviews with potential research supervisors in accordance with the Olympiad schedule.
