Scientists from NUST MISIS and colleagues from the University of Bayreuth, the University of Münster (Germany), the University of Chicago (U.S.), and Linköping University (Sweden) have created nitrides, a material previously considered impossible to obtain. More amazing, they have shown that the material can be obtained using a very simple method of direct synthesis. Articles about the revolutionary research results have been published in Nature Communications and Angew Chem Int Ed.
NUST MISIS together with PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) have conducted a panel discussion at the Moscow Urban Forum, “Megapolis and University: Investment Model of Partnership”. Martin Hinoul, an international expert in the field of science & investment and the Business Development Director of the Research and Development Center at K.U. Leuven, was invited by NUST MISIS to be a special guest at the event.
For the second year in a row, NUST MISIS has been ranked in the Global Ranking of Academic Subjects (ARWU). According to ARWU-2018, NUST MISIS is in the TOP-100 in two categories: Metallurgical Engineering and Mining & Mineral Engineering. For Mining, the university was in the
No Cracking or Freezing: NUST MISIS Scientists Demonstrate Properties of Impact-Resistant and Cold-Resistant Sandwich-Plate using Slow-Motion
Researchers from the NUST MISIS Center of Composite Materials and Biomimetix have demonstrated how their sandwich-panel development absorbs physical pressure. The punching process was recorded by a special camera that shoots video at a speed of 30,000 frames per second.
