Our mission is the success of our graduates. MISIS University follows the principle “Student First” and here we form a creative ecosystem to develop personal potential and talents of each student.

The university is comprised of 9 colleges where students are taught more than 75 majors. The university has 6 branches — 4 of them are located in Russia and 2 are abroad. At NUST MISIS, there are more than 27 000 students. 19% of them are international students from more than 80 countries.

At NUST MISIS, there are 45 world-class laboratories and three engineering centers where leading Russian and international scientists work with the most breakthrough areas, implementing joint projects with partners — the largest research organizations and high-tech companies in the world.

At NUST MISIS, much attention is paid to the practical skills training of future specialists — students conduct research, prepare joint projects and have internships. University teachers use modern teaching methods such as interactive methods and business cases that develop the professional competencies of future specialists. In the laboratories, world-class scientists work and implement joint projects with the largest Russian and foreign high-tech companies.

NUST MISIS actively collaborates with major Russian and foreign companies, including such holdings as JSC United Metallurgical Company, HC Metalloinvest, ROSATOM State Atomic Energy Corporation, MMC Norilsk Nickel, PJSC Severstal.

From the first year, students can contact the Career Center at the university to get the most up-to-date information about vacancies and internships. For students, various career events and business case championships are regularly held. By the time of graduation, most students are well-versed in the field of their future profession.

Graduates of NUST MISIS, successful businessmen, take part in the become guest speakers of the project called “Technology of Success” where they share with students their personal experience of building a business and career development.

The university has lots of extracurricular activities. There is a Student Council that helps students to implement their initiatives. Students are engaged in sports, dances, theater and music. They make videos about the university life for social media. In the sports programming section and the student design bureau, they make real projects in modeling, design and industrial design.

At NUST MISIS, the International Friendship Club was created. It helps foreign students adapt to life in Russia, make new friends, improve their language skills and successfully prepare for exams.
