Russian School Students Develop “Green” Technology for Concrete Production

The “Green” Concrete Technology project has named the winner of the “New Materials” category at the “Sirius” educational center in Sochi. The winning team of high school students developed an energy-efficient method of producing high-quality concrete from waste metallurgy for civil and road construction. This is the second time that NUST MISIS together with Russia`s leading metallurgical companies has organized the “New Materials” category as part of the “Big Challenges” educational shift.

On July 21, the first educational intensive course of the National Technology Initiative University (University of NTI) “20.35” for the leaders of technological development in Russia #Island10-21 on Russky Island (Vladivostok) was completed. Global conference for technology in education #EdCrunch2018 became a general educational partner of the event and organized speeches of 25 world-class experts.

Martin Hinoul: “Universities to Play a Key Role in the Economic Growth of Cities”

NUST MISIS together with PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) have conducted a panel discussion at the Moscow Urban Forum, “Megapolis and University: Investment Model of Partnership”. Martin Hinoul, an international expert in the field of science & investment and the Business Development Director of the Research and Development Center at K.U. Leuven, was invited by NUST MISIS to be a special guest at the event.

NUST MISIS Enters TOP-100 of ARWU Ranking in Two Categories

For the second year in a row, NUST MISIS has been ranked in the Global Ranking of Academic Subjects (ARWU). According to ARWU-2018, NUST MISIS is in the TOP-100 in two categories: Metallurgical Engineering and Mining & Mineral Engineering. For Mining, the university was in the 76-100 group. With this year’s rankings, NUST MISIS is now one of six Russian universities included in the TOP-100 of the ARWU subject rankings.

NUST MISIS Holds Intellectual Game “Artek-Insight”

NUST MISIS is holding the intellectual game “Artek-Insight” as part of the cooperation between the University and the Artek International Children`s Camp. This joint project has been designed to develop and support talented students from regions around Russia. The project started in January 2018 and will last until the beginning of December 2018, covering 12 shifts throughout the year.
