NUST MISIS Students Win International Olympiad for Russian Language

On November 24th, 2017, representatives of 80 Moscow universities announced the creation of Moscow`s first student committee on the quality of education as part of an agreement signed between the All-Russian public organization “For quality education” and the youth regional public movement “Moscow students”. The committee will be led by Gleb Uzunov, chairman of the NUST MISIS Student Council.
The decision about the necessity to create such an association was made during Cup MISIS Case-2017, the student championship for the solution of business cases, which NUST MISIS recently hosted. Representatives of NUST MISIS`s key business partners — Nornickel, Severstal, Metalloinvest, Chelpipe, Rosatom, Rusal, etc. — suggested the creation of an Association of NUST MISIS Employers during a panel discussion devoted to issues and problems of preparing students for employment. The Association will be created for closer and more fruitful cooperation as part of the University`s professional navigation activities, internships, and practical trainings, as well as for graduates’ future employment.
From November 16th — 18th, 2017, NUST MISIS held the 8th All-Russian Forum YouLead. The forum’s main topic was “Take a step beyond the horizon!”. The NUST MISIS Career Center and AIESEC, a youth-run organization, organized the forum. Highly skilled experts and speakers gave master-classes on the development of the key skills necessary to build a career, familiarized students with their companies, and spoke about successful case studies.
On November 17th, 2017, NUST MISIS held a meeting with Olga Vasilyeva, the Minister of Education & Science of the Russian Federation, and the student community. The Minister answered student questions in an “open mic” format.
On November 8th, 2017, the orientation session of the “MISIS Engineers of the Future” club, which will train specialists for the University`s high-potential employees pool, took place at NUST MISIS.
