A prototype of the aircraft of the future has been assembled at the NUST MISIS KINETICA High Complexity Prototyping Center at the request of the Russian company Bartini. The “air taxi” has even successfully passed several tests. Bartini plans to complete development and present the air taxi on the commercial market by 2020.
From October 11th to 14th, 2018, NUST MISIS hosted the second International Congress of Students Organizations (MKSO-2018). More than 300 students from universities in Russia, Portugal, Armenia, China and other countries attended the event.

The Russian market of additive technologies may exceed 6 billion rubles in 2018, experts said at the meeting of the Coordination Council of the State Corporation Roscosmos, held by NUST MISIS and the Institute of Light Materials and Technologies. The expanding use of additive technologies in the aerospace industry was the main topic of the conference. According to experts, the domestic market for additive technologies is growing by an average of 20% every year. Thus, in 2017, the market amounted to about 5.3 billion Rubles, and by the end of 2018 it is expected to exceed 6 billion Rubles.
On October 4th and 5th, 2018, NUST MISIS will be hosting the Science MISIS festival to go over the methods, secrets and topical issues of how to organize pop science events. Participants will have an opportunity to attend lectures and master-classes delivered by top science communicators, who will tell guests how to brightly and excitingly promote science to a wider audience. The opening ceremonies of the Days of Science Cinema 2018-2019 and Russia`s first Science Slam University will also take place as part of the festival.
